Uganda in Germany
KinderKulturKarawane is a project under supervision of UNICEF, which enables young artists from the southern half of the world to travel north to present their skills. But that’s not everything: the most important part is cultural exchange.
The first time the Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy came to Germany was as a part of the KinderKulturKarawane 2015.
In 2017 they were invited for a second time with the motto “creACTive for climate justice”.

Germany in Uganda
Ever since the first volunteer from Germany finished her voluntary year (2016/2017) at the Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy, the dancing project is a stable part of the voluntary program of the Diakonie Hessen. A weltwärts voluntary service allows young people to acquire social work skills abroad. You can find more information about the weltwärts voluntary year at the Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy here.
The Academy’s door is always open for the neighbourhood and friends from all over the world. If you are interested to see the Centre and the children of the Sosolya Undugu Dance Academy with your own eyes, when you want to watch or join them dancing Ugandan dances and listen to african music, Mark Mugwanya would be happy to welcome you any time.
